Urban Biodiversity and biophilic architecture : Mingzhu Nerval’s Plant Hunting in Hong Kong
2025-04-01
We recently embarked on an extraordinary plant hunting trip to Hong Kong, inspired by the concept of « Wild concrete » where plants grow freely within the urban landscape. As we explored the neighborhood where our new development projects will rise, we studied the existing plant life on-site, determined to save and integrate them into our designs. Immersed in the bustling city, we witnessed the resilience of nature as plants thrived amidst concrete structures, inspiring us to create transformative landscapes that harmoniously blend urbanity with the untamed beauty of the natural world. Our commitment to preserving nature’s presence in the heart of the concrete jungle has been renewed, as we strive to redefine the relationship between urban development and the environment.
